Brenley Wiley, LMFT, PMH-C

Do you find yourself navigating the transition into motherhood or pregnancy, and unsure about why it feels so hard? Maybe you’ve found yourself feeling isolated, anxious, and overwhelmed by the responsibilities of pregnancy and motherhood. You see other moms and think they have it much more together than you do. You try to put on a brave face, because becoming a mother should be joyful, right? You wish there was some sort of manual for you to figure this out and find a way to make everything work without feeling so lost.

Therapy with me is a warm and quiet place where the most unspoken thoughts can be voiced without fear of judgement. I create a safe environment where you can connect your thoughts and feelings in order to gain a better understanding of yourself and the world around you. I can help you unpack the complexities of motherhood that you’ve been working through as we explore together your choices, your values, and your identity.

I know what it’s like to feel completely unmoored in a season that was supposed to be joyful, when you want to run away from it all yet feel paralyzed by guilt, exhaustion, and fear of change. I understand how complicated it can feel to hold both womanhood and motherhood at once, which is what led me to pursue specialized training to support pregnant women and mothers. Through a trauma-informed, attachment-based lens, I strive to honor the tender and complicated emotions of motherhood by creating a space where clients’ full experiences can be seen and supported.
